Take part of the 2018 Barokkfest festival by applying for the Nordic Baroque Orchestra 2018. The orchestra will perform at the Barokkfest 2018 festival in Trondheim.
The 2018 edition of Ungdommens Barokkorkester – Nordic Baroque Orchestra focuses on French orchestral music. It is a unique opportunity to gain first hand orchestral experience of this key repertoire by learning from one of the most highly acclaimed specialists on this repertoire and it’s orchestral techniques, French violinist and conductor Patrick Cohën-Akenine. The orchestra will perform at the Barokkfest 2018 festival in Trondheim at the end of January 2018.
Ungdommens Barokkorkester – Nordic Baroque Orchestra is a baroque orchestra course open to students and young musicians on historical instruments from all the Nordic countries and abroad.
The course is open to participants aged 15–30 from all Nordic countries including Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. The course is also open for applicants from other countries. Young musicians from the Nordic countries are especially encouraged to apply. There is no course fee. Travel expenses are covered, as well accommodation. For 2018 the call for application is open for violins, viola, cello, double bass, oboe, flute, bassoon and harpsichord. We hope you may forward this information to anyone who might be interested by this new and unique opportunity. The application procedure closes on January 3rd 2018. We do, however, recommend applications to send their application form as soon as possible.
The 2018 programme includes music of Leclaire, Couperin and Rameau.
